Welding and Assembly for Florence

Cut, formed and welded parts built into one unit in Phoenix, so Florence projects receive an assembly rather than a pile of pieces.

What you can order

Assemblies Built for Florence Delivery

Florence orders come from municipal, institutional and industrial work, where a drawing is issued for review and the part has to hold to it. Replacement components for equipment already in service are also common, and those start from a sample or a measured sketch. Machine frames and stands, bracket sets, tube-to-plate weldments, skids and small assemblies are the usual order. Manual MIG covers one-off parts, tight access and out-of-position joints, while a cobot welding cell runs repeat welds on the same programmed path, part after part. Carbon steel, stainless steel and nickel are joined here from 18 gauge upward. Because the parts are cut and formed in the same shop, fit-up problems are found on the bench rather than on site, and fixtures for repeat parts are quoted with the job.

Brackets and mounting sets

Flat-bar arms are cut, formed and welded to a box-section base so the bracket arrives as one part that mounts straight on. The hole positions come from your drawing, and the same bracket can be made as a single set or a batch.

Stands, supports and skids

Plate bases, tube uprights and gussets welded into one unit that holds equipment at the height the drawing calls for. Mounting holes and cut-outs are made when the parts are cut, so the finished stand does not need drilling later.

Frames, racks and fixture assemblies

Frames built from cut and coped profiles, welded square and marked for the parts that bolt to them. Fabricated light fixture components produced for an interior build sit in this group: welded steel frames that carry the finished fixture.

Running the same assembly again? Repeat production is quoted from the original drawings, so a fixture made for the part is set up the same way on the next run.

How the parts come together

From drawing to a welded unit

An assembly is only as good as the parts that go into it. Cutting, forming and welding in one shop settles the fit-up on the bench, not on site.

  1. 01

    The parts are cut

Outlines, holes and slots are cut from the approved drawing, with part numbers and bend lines marked in the cut. Sheet runs on the fiber laser; heavier plate on the five-axis plasma table.

  2. 02

    The blanks are formed

Blanks go to the CNC press brake, where ram position and backgauge are set once and repeated across the batch, so the last bracket takes the same bend as the first.

  3. 03

Profiles are coped and fitted up

Tube and structural sections are cut and coped on the tube and beam lines, so joints close without grinding. Parts are checked for square on the bench before welding, with a fixture holding repeat assemblies.

  4. 04

    The assembly is welded

Manual MIG covers one-off assemblies, tight access and out-of-position joints. Repeat welds run on the cobot cell, running the same programmed path on every part in the batch.

  5. 05

    The finish is coordinated

Coating requirements are raised at quoting and carried out by our finishing partners. KorFab does not run a coating line.
