Construction work arrives as a drawing set, a mark number and a date the parts are needed on site. Base plates, embeds, connection plates, saddles and supports are cut and drilled on the five-axis plasma table, formed on the press brake, and welded into the component the drawing shows.

Profiles are cut and coped on the beamline and tube processor, and marking is cut or etched into the part so it can be matched to the drawing when it reaches the site. A package is quoted as one scope, so the operations and the delivery sequence are planned together rather than part by part.

Phased releases and package repeats

Phased releases are the normal pattern: the same mark numbers come back two or three times as the building goes up. Each release is priced on its own material and setup, and the marking is set up once so parts stay identifiable between phases.

When a drawing repeats across buildings on a site, the second building is not a new package. The drawing and program are kept, and the repeat release is quoted at the quantity it needs.
