Question 1

What does KorFab do?

Accepted Answer

KorFab is a custom metal fabricator in Phoenix, Arizona specializing in laser-cut architectural panels, privacy screens, cladding, shade and pergola systems, guardrails, ceiling and canopy systems, and fully custom metal components. We fabricate for residential, commercial, and industrial clients and ship nationwide.

Question 2

Where is KorFab located?

Accepted Answer

Our fabrication shop is in Phoenix, Arizona. We do not have offices in other cities — we serve clients across the country through fabrication and nationwide shipping. You are welcome to visit the shop by appointment.

Question 3

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We fabricate in Phoenix and deliver anywhere in the United States. Local, statewide, or across the country — it does not matter where you are. Most orders are ready to ship in about a week.

Question 4

Do you work with both homeowners and contractors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We fabricate for homeowners, contractors, designers, architects, and commercial clients alike. Whether it is a single residential privacy screen or a multi-location commercial run, the process is the same — and everyone gets the same fast response and real pricing.

Question 5

How far can KorFab go with custom work?

Accepted Answer

If it can be cut, formed, and welded from metal, we can usually build it. We are not limited to our catalog — bring a drawing, sketch, photo, sample, or CAD file. AC and equipment screens, fence and wall upgrades, gates, privacy and shade, Jeep and off-road racks, storage, brackets, frames, signage, architectural accents, replacement parts, commercial fixtures, prototypes, and repeatable kits. The range is limitless.

Question 6

What files or inputs can I bring to start?

Accepted Answer

A production-ready CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, or PDF), a hand sketch with dimensions, a photo of a part or space, a physical sample to replicate, or simply a description of the problem. We help turn any of these into a fabrication-ready solution — no finished drawing required.

Question 7

Can I order one piece, or do I need a large quantity?

Accepted Answer

Both. We build one-of-a-kind residential, commercial, and automotive pieces, and we produce repeatable parts and kits for ongoing or multi-location projects. Tell us your quantity and whether it is one-time or repeatable.

Question 8

Can you replicate or reproduce an existing part?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send us a sample or detailed photos with dimensions and we can replicate it, improve on it, or reproduce it into a fabrication-ready file. This is common for obsolete or hard-to-source replacement parts.

Question 9

Can you help design a part if I only have an idea?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Describe the problem or need and our team will help design a fabrication-ready solution. You do not need a finished drawing to start — a conversation is often enough.

Question 10

Can you build a fully custom project from scratch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you can describe it, draw it, or show us a photo, we can usually build it. From one-off architectural features and prototypes to repeatable production kits, we are not limited to a catalog — custom is the core of what we do.

Question 11

Do you take on large or commercial-scale projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We handle commercial and multi-location runs — cladding packages, screen systems, guardrails, and repeatable component kits — with consistent quality, documented lead times, and nationwide shipping to each job site.

Question 12

What products does KorFab offer?

Accepted Answer

KorShield privacy screens, architectural screen systems, metal cladding, shade and pergola systems, guardrails, ceiling and canopy systems, and fully custom components. All are available in standard or custom laser-cut patterns.

Question 13

Can I use my own pattern or logo?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Bring a CAD file, sketch, or logo and we will develop a fabrication-ready pattern. Patterns are scalable and adjustable for open-area percentage and code compliance, including fire and sprinkler requirements.

Question 14

What sizes are available?

Accepted Answer

Standard KorShield privacy screens up to 8 feet, architectural screen systems in heights to 10 feet, and fully custom sizes for any project. Panels can be scaled to your exact dimensions.

Question 15

Can you create a custom pattern or design just for my project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bring a concept, mood board, logo, or even just an idea and our team will develop a fabrication-ready laser-cut pattern. We adjust open-area percentage, scale, and repeat to meet your privacy, airflow, and code requirements.

Question 16

Is there a design fee for custom patterns?

Accepted Answer

Most custom patterns are developed as part of your quote with no separate design fee for standard projects. Highly complex or branded artwork may carry a one-time design charge — we always tell you up front before any work begins.

Question 17

Can you match an existing pattern or style I have seen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share a photo, link, or sample of a pattern or style you like and we can replicate, adapt, or re-scale it to your dimensions and material — without copying another fabricator proprietary work.

Question 18

What materials do you work with?

Accepted Answer

Common materials include 5052-H32 aluminum, mild steel (A36), Corten steel, and stainless steel. We recommend the right material for your environment, application, and budget.

Question 19

What finishes are available?

Accepted Answer

Powder coat in any standard color (browse the Cardinal powder coat chart for the full range), raw mill finish, and clear coat for Corten. On-screen swatches are approximate — request a physical sample for an exact match.

Question 20

Will aluminum corrode outdoors?

Accepted Answer

5052-H32 aluminum is highly corrosion resistant and ideal for exterior applications. With a quality powder coat, it performs in almost any environment, including the Arizona desert and coastal areas.

Question 21

Can you match a specific powder coat color?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We powder coat in any standard Cardinal color and can source custom matches when needed. On-screen swatches are approximate, so request a physical chip for an exact match before production.

Question 22

What is Corten steel and how does it weather?

Accepted Answer

Corten (weathering steel) forms a stable, self-protecting rust patina that deepens over time — no painting required. We can seal it with a clear coat to lock in the look, or leave it raw to weather naturally.

Question 23

Do you deliver outside of Phoenix?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We fabricate in Phoenix and ship nationwide — panels, components, and repeatable kits anywhere in the United States. Every order is palletized and packaged for safe transit, from a single part to a full run.

Question 24

How long does an order take?

Accepted Answer

Most custom orders are ready to deliver in about a week. Larger or more complex runs may take longer, and we confirm lead times in your quote. Rush options are sometimes available — ask when you request a quote.

Question 25

How is my order packaged for shipping?

Accepted Answer

Every piece is palletized, packaged, and protected for transit — from a single one-off part to a full run of repeatable components. Packaging is designed so your order arrives ready to install.

Question 26

Do you ship nationwide?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We fabricate in Phoenix, Arizona and ship anywhere in the United States. From a single panel to a full commercial run, every order is palletized and packaged for safe transit coast to coast — most orders are ready to ship in about a week.

Question 27

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Shipping is quoted based on your order size, weight, and destination. We pass through actual freight rates with no markup — you pay what the carrier charges. Local Phoenix delivery is often available and quoted separately.

Question 28

Can you deliver directly to my job site?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can coordinate delivery to a residential address, a commercial job site, or multiple project locations. Tell us where it needs to go and we will arrange the right carrier and packaging for the site.

Question 29

Do you offer rush or expedited fabrication?

Accepted Answer

When capacity allows, yes. Rush options are sometimes available for an additional fee — ask when you request your quote and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Question 30

How does the quoting process work?

Accepted Answer

Submit what you are building, where it is used, your material and finish preferences, quantity, and any files. Our estimating team reviews it and responds with questions or a real quote. No pricing is invented — you receive a real quote based on your actual project.

Question 31

How much do decorative panels cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on material, pattern complexity, quantity, and finish. Real project data ranges from about $9 per square foot (high quantity, raw finish) to $40 per square foot (low quantity, powder coat, with components). Request a quote for an exact estimate tailored to your project.

Question 32

Do you include mounting components with panels?

Accepted Answer

Yes — stand-off mounts, posts, brackets, and hardware can be included or excluded, your choice. Components are itemized in the quote so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Question 33

Is there a minimum order amount?

Accepted Answer

No hard minimum — we build single one-off pieces and large runs alike. Smaller orders carry a higher per-piece cost due to setup, so quantity almost always lowers your unit price.

Question 34

Do you offer trade or contractor pricing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Contractors, designers, and repeat commercial clients receive trade pricing and terms. Set up an account through our contact page and we will get you approved quickly.

Question 35

Do you install, or do I install?

Accepted Answer

Our systems are designed for straightforward installation with pre-drilled panels and hardware, plus installation guides. We fabricate and ship; installation is typically handled by your contractor. For local Phoenix projects, ask about installation support.

Question 36

Do I need to weld or cut anything on site?

Accepted Answer

No. Pre-drilled panels and hardware mean no onsite welding, cutting, or finishing for our standard systems. Everything arrives ready to assemble with common hand tools.

Question 37

Can you recommend an installer in my area?

Accepted Answer

For Phoenix-area projects we can recommend trusted installers. Outside Arizona, our systems are designed for contractor-friendly assembly, and we provide installation guides and support so your local pro can install with confidence.
