Laser Plate Processing in Phoenix

KorFab processes flat plate with a 6KW fiber laser, with etching capability and a direct path to forming, welding, and finishing in the same shop.

Plate Cut Clean and Accurate

KorFab provides laser cutting services through its Laser Plate Processing capability for parts that need clean edges, fine detail, or etching for layout marks. KorFab runs a 6KW fiber laser that handles plates up to 5 by 10 feet across steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and brass, with etching capability for part numbers and alignment marks.

Because the laser sits in the same shop as our forming, welding, and finishing equipment, a laser cut plate can move directly into the next step without leaving the building. That shortens the path from raw plate to completed component.

Projects That Fit Laser Plate Processing

  • Precision cut plates and components
  • Fine pattern and detail work
  • Etched part numbers and layout marks
  • Brackets cut then formed
  • Plates cut then welded into assemblies
  • Repeat plate parts

Laser Etching for Production Work

The 6KW fiber laser includes etching capability that marks parts during the cutting process. For production work and repeat components, etching applies part numbers, alignment marks, and layout marks directly to the plate so each piece can be identified and oriented through forming, welding, and assembly.

Etching is tied to the fabrication path, not a standalone engraving service. It supports components that need traceable identification from raw plate through to a finished, inspected part.

Connected to Forming, Welding, and Finishing

A laser cut plate is often just the first step. Many parts get formed into a bracket, welded into an assembly, or finished with powder coat before they ship. When those steps stay with KorFab, you get one partner and one accountable path from plate to finished part.

For larger plates or heavier work, KorFab also runs large shape processing on a five axis plasma machine that handles plates up to 6 by 12 feet.

What to Send

Send the material, the thickness, the plate size, the quantity, and a drawing or sketch. If the part needs etching, forming, welding, or a specific finish, include that so we can quote the full scope in one pass.

Phoenix Facility, Nationwide Delivery

Laser-processed plate leaves Phoenix in custom-built crates sized to the part, with tracked shipping and delivery estimates on every order. Most plate processing orders are fabricated, inspected, and ready to ship in about a week. Local Phoenix metro delivery is typically same-day or next-day once the work is ready.
